We found those expensive Angora wool sweaters at just $65.One of my passions is to hunt a thrift store and find the best deal on something I was looking for.We love thrift stores, especially if you’re looking for something from that particular location. It’s a great way to get some souvenirs for yourself to take home and of course save you a little bit of cash so you can go out and do all the adventure.

Hey everybody; it’s Shauna, a correspondent for Without Bags and today I want to talk to you about one of my favorite things, thrift stores. Very long story short, as you guys know we were just in Ireland and Ireland has these beautiful sweaters, this gorgeous wool coming from these adorable little sheep that are all over the country. Those sweaters, if you get a brand new one of these really, really nice sweaters, these things can range anywhere from $150 to we were seeing sweaters for like $500 and $600 for a single sweater.

Now here in the States, one of my favorite things to do, one of my hobbies on the weekend is to go to thrift stores. If I’m looking for some new glassware, if I’m looking for, actually perfect example, I was looking for a leather ottoman for my house and I actually ended up finding a leather ottoman at a thrift store, brand new condition, gorgeous, shiny, still had the purchase sticker from the store on it, for $11.83. I’m pretty sure it was a good $200 or $300 ottoman. It’s one of my passions is to go thrift store hunting and find the best deal on something I was looking for and needed anyway.

To get back to the story, here we are, we’re in Ireland, it’s cold. For a girl coming from the desert, Ireland was a little bit chilly.  I had packed coats and sweaters and that kind of thing but I was looking at all those beautiful wool, looking at these gorgeous sweaters and it was really just hard to convince myself to spend even $150 on one of these beautiful sweaters, because coming back here to Arizona, it’s warm, it’s really warm and when would I ever wear this sweater besides the dead middle of winter when it gets down to all of, oh my goodness, 45 degrees. Freezing.

Anyway, point being we were roaming around and we came across a thrift store. I said, oh my goodness, how awesome would this be if I could find a lovely sweater, some sweater that somebody had loved and now they no longer need and can we find this lovely sweater. We went into the thrift store, looked around, looked through all the sweaters, whatever, we were finding some of these gorgeous sweaters, angora, wool, I mean gorgeous, gorgeous sweaters. I think the highest price tag sweater we saw was $65, so I could finally convince myself to get a sweater, so got a sweater. Yah, so happy.

Obviously not wearing it right now, it’s summertime here in Arizona but point being, when you’re out traveling remember thrift stores. We love thrift stores, especially if you’re looking for something from that particular location. It’s a great way to get some souvenirs for yourself to take home and of course save you a little bit of cash so you can go out and do all the adventure stuff that at least I love to do.
